Hilary Milnes, the secretary of Computing Services
in the 1970s, used to have an old photo on the notice board, and by some
miracle of archaeology, this has survived. It shows the Applied Maths department
in around 1960, on the steps of Firth Hall, and Dr. Stan Wardle is second
from the right in the back row.

Many people have worked in Computing Services over the years, and at one time there was a board displaying mug shots of all staff. Somehow some of these photos have survived.
